Dental Tree Program - 2024

November 6, 2024

The Dental Tree Program is a cooperative service event that encourages oral health care professionals to serve the most vulnerable populations in Dallas County in a set few days. Projects during these event days will include service work in individual practices or at Title I schools, senior community centers and non-profit dental organizations in need of volunteers.

Funded through a grant from the International College of Dentistry, the 2024 Dental Tree Program provided services to over 1900 people through:

  • Four Tooth Talks at Title I elementary schools,

  • Three Senior Smiles through Meals on Wheels events,

  • Additional oral health bag distribution at the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry, and

  • Treatments in six offices/clinics totalling over $41,500 in donated dental services to underserved patients. A special thank you to Drs. Michael Rainwater, William Phillips, Mary Swift, Chi Trieu, Max Finn, David Lee and their teams for providing this care.

Held annually in November, the Dental Tree Program offers community service opportunities to dental staff, students and community volunteers. Together, we can serve the most vulnerable populations in Dallas County!
